RESEARCH

My research interests are very broad but generally center on understanding how changes to the environment affect the distribution, abundance, behavior, and ecology of organisms. I find both basic and applied questions to be important and interesting, but science that answers both kinds of questions simultaneously is especially exciting to me. Science is the acquisition of new knowledge, but when that new knowledge has real-world applications for conservation, sustainable use of resources, or human health and well-being, it appeals to me most.
